Located on the campus of ICTP, the Immaginario Scientifico (IS) is a science centre that develops informal educational activities, hands-on exhibits and multimedia presentations for the public, particularly for school-age children.

The exhibitions are prepared in collaboration with the scientific institutions based in Trieste and other international scientific organizations from around the world. The interactive and user-friendly educational activities, organized and implemented by IS staff, are intended to be both informative and entertaining.
